It seems the man of the moment
Bam Margera has been added to the
Clive team. Bam can now make use Clive’s variety of skateboard backpacks wherever he goes. He should have his own pro model out sometime in 2002. Margera is busy with the second leg of the
Tony Hawk Tour, as well as filming for the next 'CKY' installment and the upcoming Adio video, 'One Step Beyond'. Look for them this summer.
Bam will also be hosting a post X Games party in Philly this August, location undisclosed but expect H.I.M. and most likely CKY to play there.
Sticking with
Element boards...
Colt Cannon is now officially riding for the Element team, with his own board in the works. He has also chosen
Bones Bearings to keep him rolling.
Colin McKay has been spotted at the first few stops of the Tony Hawk Tour, east coast edition. He should be on board the big bus for the rest of the east coast leg. The remaining dates for the tour can be found
here
Also from the
DC camp, the new
Josh Kalis signature shoe "The Truth" is beginning to hit stores nationwide. Word is there is a slight shortage already so get them while they last. Also be on the lookout for a new color model coming later in the summer.
Rob Dyrdek's new signature model, "The Exacta" is also supposed to be in stores at the end of June.
Matt Mumford’s new
Globe pro model is out now as well.
Pig Wheels is set to launch a tour of the southwest sometime in November.
Dan Shimizu may be on board for that one since he will also be turning pro for Pig Wheels soon. A pro 52mm wheel design is in the works.
The
Foundation tour is currently being put together. The Foundation Boys should be creating Chaos and spreading the FOSKCO word through out Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, then down through the dirty south, back up along the east coast. Expect a few stops in Ohio, Nebraska, and Colorado on the high road home.
Understood Artshow. Understood is an Artshow and silent auction benefiting the Storefront, which is an emergency youth shelter. Over 50 artists were asked to showcase their talents using Foundation skateboards as their medium. Some of the artists include
Chris Pastras,
The Gonz and
Kris Markovich. Understood will be on Sat, June 23rd and Sunday June 24th at the SD Center for Moving Arts, located at 3255 Fifth Ave, in Hillcrest, San Diego. For more info call 619-965-0780.
Jon Allie is now down with
Zero as their newest AM. He can currently be found wrecking a city near you in anticipation of his full part in the new Zero video, 'DYING TO LIVE!'
So when is the new Zero video coming out? Who knows? But Wiggins has reported that it is looking REAL good, “So good, you’ll want to staple yourself to your shirt after seeing it!” Get that staple gun ready...
Brian Anderson and
Brad Staba will be cruising through Europe on a mini
Savier tour in mid-July, after the Dortmund and Copenhagen contests. No locations yet.
The
Toy Machine crew is having all sorts of bad luck and have decided to cancel their tour.
Ed Templeton bruised his heel severely at
Slam City, and then slammed his head pretty badly and had to be hospitalized. Looks like a few weeks before Ed will be able to shake off the headaches.
Brian Anderson's father passed away and
Elissa Steamer was having some leg problems and left the tour to see her doctor. Filmer photographer
Dave Hoang’s girlfriend of several years was killed in a car accident. Due to all of this, Ed decided to cancel the remaining stops on the tour and regroup for next year instead.
The Foundation team,
Kris Markovich,
Daniel Shimizu,
Justin Roy and
Charlie Thomas stepped in to help out and finished 3 of the 4 remaining demos though.
On the competition front...
In front of a crowd of thousands of people at the USC 5th year anniversary
party in Seattle,

Aaron won the longest jump contest with a kickflip melon over a 14 foot gap and Alex won the best trick contest with a switch heelflip backside 5-0 across a picnic table. The contest was held during a rave in downtown Seattle, with support from
